Experience a day to remember at the F1 Hungarian Gran Prix
Formula one is without doubt one of the most intense and thrilling racing sports in the world. Renowned for cars reaching up to 200mph it is not for the faint hearted. The sport was established in the late 1940’s and since then has been at the forefront of innovative car design and car evolution. Famous car companies such as Ferrari, Mercedes, Honda, McLaren and Renault all take part. The current world champion is Lewis Hamilton from the UK. He has won the title 3 times and will be vying for a 4th this year.
The racing calendar takes drivers all over the world to race in front of crowds nearing 200,000. One of the most famous circuits is the Hungarian Gran Prix. The country first hosted Formula 1 in the late 1940’s but it wasn’t until the 1960’s that the circuit became popular. The event is taking place in late July between the 22nd and 24th at the Hungaroring racing circuit which is 11 miles north east of Budapest.

Known for producing a range of local and European foods in a fun and friendly environment, it’s one not to be missed. Arriving at the racing circuit is very simple. Take the M3 route and reach the destination in 30 minutes in a taxi or car.
On return to the city centre, there are various bars close to the complex for you to enjoy and party the night away. This includes VinoWonka which serves a range of wines as well as delicious chocolate which is situated under a mile from our serviced apartments.
